Premiere of "Power Rangers: Space Patrol Delta" Boosts Jetix Ratings on Toon Disney

BURBANK, CA (February 8, 2005) – The premiere of "Power Rangers: Space Patrol Delta," the 13th incarnation of the "Power Rangers" series, on ABC Family (Saturday, February 5, 8:30-9:30 a.m.) and Toon Disney (Monday, February 7, 7:30-8:30 p.m.) posted solid ratings and delivery gains on both platforms.

The hour-long "Power Rangers: Space Patrol Delta" premiere on ABC Family generated double-digit ratings gains versus the time period's year-ago average with kids 2-11 (+44%, 1.3/420,000 vs. 0.9/281,000), kids 6-11 (+18%, 1.3/260,000 vs. 1.1/209,000), boys 2-11 (+75%, 2.1/346,000 vs. 1.2/201,000) and boys 6-11 (+47%, 2.2/223,000 vs. 1.5/149,000).

The series' Monday debut on Toon Disney was the network's highest rated JETIX series premiere in Households (1.0), kids 2-11 (2.4), kids 6-11 (2.2), boys 2-11 (3.6) and boys 6-11 (3.4).   The series garnered triple-digit gains versus year ago numbers with kids 2-11 (+200%, 2.4/448,000 vs. 0.8/137,000), kids 6-11 (+340%, 2.2/247,000 vs. 0.5/53,000), boys 2-11 (+500%, 3.6/348,000 vs. 0.6/51,000) and boys 6-11 (+278%, 3.4/203,000 vs. 0.9/44,000).

Set in outer space and on the Planet Earth at the SPD Academy, where both humans and aliens train to become the newest generation of mighty morphing Power Rangers, "Power Rangers: Space Patrol Delta" chronicles the adventures of the young cadets who comprise the Academy's B Squad as they hone their extra-ordinary genetic powers and train to become the best of the best who will defend against all those that threaten the peace of the planet Earth.

All iterations of "Power Rangers" feature adventure, action, comedy and drama while teaching valuable lessons about the importance of working as a team.  Stories are accented by the heroes' extraordinary powers, martial arts, acrobatics, special effects and relatable young characters that, in addition to the growing pains most regular teenagers face, must work to triumph over evil.
