Leading Network For Outdoor Enthusiasts Introduces New Logo And On-Air Look  

TEMECULA, Calif. – (March 19, 2007) – Outdoor Channel, the No.1 television destination for outdoor enthusiasts, today announced the launch of a complete corporate rebranding campaign that will introduce a new logo, on-air look, and ancillary branding elements specifically designed to reflect the Network's position as the leading provider of exciting outdoor action, adventure and entertainment.

The new logo featuring angular shapes and incorporating the use of an "action black" and "adventure green" color scheme was created to communicate a more contemporary, action-oriented programming philosophy.

"Our new logo and on-air look intuitively communicates the sense of action, adventure, and excitement inherent in our programming," said Outdoor Channel Sr. VP, Marketing & Research Denise Conroy-Galley. She added, "In addition, it reflects our desire to own the outdoor entertainment space on multiple platforms including standard and high-definition television, video-on-demand (VOD) and our cutting-edge, soon-to-debut broadband channel."  

Outdoor Channel's new look will be unveiled for the first time later this week as part of the Network's annual East Coast advertising sales event-- to be held on Thursday, March 22nd at the popular outdoor-themed Aspen restaurant in New York City, with a specifically targeted ad campaign roll-out to follow. The new look on-air will make its debut in May, with a new tag line to be added later in the year. As a result of the rebranding, the Network will also officially drop the "The" previously used in its name and will now simply be referred to as "Outdoor Channel."
