The attached pic represents a slice of audio from Sunday's (2/24/2020) segment of Anderson Cooper's interview of Bernie Sanders on 60 Minutes. The small waves at the start represent Anderson speaking. The big waves starting in the middle represent a clip of Mike Bloomberg speaking at a prior debate.

This is not an isolated event. Always, all clips within 60 Minutes shows - B-roll material, more or less - that are not the interviewer / investigator and interviewee / investigated speaking are more than double the volume of the content.

Can anyone at CBS News or 60 Minutes explain the disparity?
