DEGRASSI Celebrates the End of an Era with Hour-Long Graduation Special, June 21, Exclusively on MuchMusic # # # DEGRASSI Summer

TORONTO (June 12, 2013) – This June, DEGRASSI celebrates the graduation of an unforgettable crew of fan-favourite students. MuchMusic's #1 Original Canadian Series DEGRASSI premieres the emotional, hour-long graduation special, "The Time Of My Life," Friday, June 21 at 9 p.m. ET. The episode sees many beloved characters saying goodbye, including Fiona Coyne (Annie Clark) and Bianca DeSousa (Alicia Josipovic), and wraps up the best storylines of the season just in time for summer break!

But viewers won't have to wait long to catch up with the remaining DEGRASSI students! With three fresh, new faces – the fierce and fashion-forward Zoë Rivas (Ana Golja), athlete and former prep-school kid Miles Hollingsworth III (Eric Osborne), and sarcastic wingman Winston "Chewy" Chu (Andre Kim) – the summer chapter of DEGRASSI begins July 11 in special, hour-long episode that kicks off a brand-new timeslot, Thursdays at 8 p.m. ET. Then, on July 18 immediately following DEGRASSI at 8:30 p.m. ET, MuchMusic launches the all-new, 30-minute DEGRASSI after-show, featuring exclusive interviews with cast members.

In "The Time Of My Life" (June 21), with graduation fast approaching, Imogen can't imagine saying goodbye to Fiona and resorts to desperate measures to try and keep them together. Clare is attempting to move on with her life without Eli, but he is not ready to let her go and, like Imogen, goes to great lengths to preserve their relationship. Will it be too late? Mo wants to lock down a bromance with Jake before the summer, but doing so jeopardizes his relationship with Marisol.

DEGRASSI's Class of 2013 is:

Marisol Lewis (Shanice Banton)
Eli Goldsworthy (Munro Chambers)
Fiona Coyne (Annie Clark)
Bianca DeSousa (Alicia Josipovic)
Jake Martin (Justin Kelly)
Owen Milligan (Daniel Kelly)
Mo Mashkour (Jacob Neayem)
Imogen Moreno (Cristine Prosperi)
Katie Matlin (Chloe Rose)

So Degrassi won't be airing in soap opera format anymore like the past couple of summers? This reads like it will only air weekly now.

Looks like it.

Also be sure to watch the MuchMusic Video Awards on Fuse this Sunday, they usually show a trailer for the summer season during the red carpet preshow.

MuchMusic also posted a bunch of photos for season 13 on their press site. Out of the above list of graduates, only Eli and Imogen are in the group cast photo. Hopefully they have a bigger role than Peter got after he graduated, lol

BonesIsHere

iTunes already posted what I guess will be the little promo they'll play on TeenNick after the grad special on Friday. It was actually listed as a podcast.

KyL416

As you all probably know by now, TeenNick will be airing the episodes at 9pm ET, an hour after MuchMusic airs them. I guess Nick doesn't want Big Time Rush going head to head with Degrassi.

#6
There's a new open this season along with a new logo. It's still Alexz Johnson singing it, but it's much shorter and doesn't credit the cast, instead their names appear after the open.

In addition to Munro Chambers sticking around, Chloe Rose is still there too.

We also gain another Life with Derek alum.

KyL416

They now only credit the people who appear in the episode. For example, this week Stefan Brogren and Chloe Rose isn't listed.
