More Live Channels added to DirecTV's App

DirecTV has added Investigation Discovery, Lifetime Movie Network, TV Land and TWC Deportes to their iOS and Android apps for in-home streaming.

HLN, Cooking Channel, H2 and IFC are coming soon.

I wish they wouldn't limit it to those that have HD feeds though as the highest resolution they stream is 768x432 at 2.2 mbps. It would be nice to get non-HD channels like Logo, Boomerang, Nick Jr, Nicktoons, TeenNick, GAC, Centric and VH1 Classic on the app.

More channels like HBO, Cinemax, Showtime, The Movie Channel and the rest of the HD Starz and Encore channels will be added to the app on Thursday. They, along with the Scripps channels (HGTV, Food, DIY, Cooking and Travel Channel) will also become available out of home.

WeatherNation is now available for in and out of home streaming on the DirecTV app.
